Stack Monitoring Kit

The Stack Monitoring Kit is used for measuring the total volumetric discharge of particulate matter and gaseous pollutants from the stacks. The kit is used for sampling the gaseous stream effluents that is essential to be measured and monitored for all industrial establishments. These effluents has to be controlled in compliance with Air Prevention and Control of Pollution Act of 1981.

The kit is used for taking isokinetic samples of effluents that are emitted from various industrial processes including chemical and combustion process.

The kit is designed to work and operate in horizontal as well as vertical position with its sampling probe and can be used in round or rectangular stacks and ducts with flow velocity ranging from 1 to 40 m/sec and temperatures up to 600ºC or higher.

The kit is used for collecting samples for

  • Sulphur dioxide gas (SO2)
  • Sulphur trioxide (SO3)
  • Sulphuric Acid mist (H2SO4)
  • Oxides of Nitrogen (NO3)
  • Water Vapor


  • Easy to handle light-weight control unit is available in 4 boxes
  • Digital temperature reading monitor is provided to read the temperature of dry gas meter and stack gas
  • The kit features dry gas meter for total flow measurement
  • A thimble holder is provided for leak-proof collection of samples.
  • Six glass impingers are provided with the kit
  • Acrylic rotameters for flow measurements - 100LPM for SPM and 10LPM for Gaseous
  • Light weight monoblock vacuum pump
  • Inclined Manometer with 0.01 inch WG resolution with spill proof arrangement
  • S - type pitot tube of 1.5-meter length individually calibrated as per EPA regulations (I.I.T.Mumbai)
  • S.S. Thermocouple of 1.5-meter length
